Yesterday was another beautiful sunny day here in the Lake District (that's in England), and we took advantage of the day to climb Skiddaw the third highest peak in the area.
We took a reverse route and went up the Millbeck trail which is very steep and snowy near the summit. There were a few people on the trail with it being the last day of the mid-term break and a few scrambled to the top on their hands and knees but I'm proud to say I stayed upright the whole way.

I was disappointed in my photos from the day however I will post one or two just to show the area which is so fantastic and wonderful for hiking this time of the year.

NEW FEATURES COMING SOON...I promise
It's good to see you. Thanks for the positive comments but you'll be happy to know that I've slowed down considerably (stopped) submitting photos since we got home from our trip to the UK. We have moved houses and we're very busy with renovations and I just haven't got the time or energy for photography. On the up side this will give you a chance to catch up.
I have also been very lax at looking at my fellow DA members photos but I will make a concerted effort to catch up on that soon.
Thanks again,
Rebecca
It is called the 'Lake District' but for me it's all about the hills.
Last time I tried to climb a mountain about 3/4 way I started crawling up on hands and knees realised I would never get to the top so slid a lot of the way down on my bottom
