As excited as I am there is so much to learn and at my age that is no easy task, old dogs, new tricks and all that, but I'm going to give it a try and see what I can do with a real camera.
I really appreciate the deviants who go into detail about how they produce their wonderful images. I hope to learn a lot from them and I'm looking forward to as much advice as anyone out there is willing to offer

I have figured out the HDR thing and went to a beautiful waterfall last weekend to try it out. It worked really well however it was raining and between the rain and the spray from the falls (due to the lay of the land I had to stand fairly close to the falls) I ended up with water drops all over my lens and the pictures. I hope to get out again this weekend in the sun this time and see what I can come up with so stay tuned.
My son is a tattoo artist [link] and a photographer. [link] he does horror macabre stuff which I am not fond of but he is good.

Gyah!! Yes, your son's photography is very good for what it is I'm sure but yeah, I'm not exactly into that stuff either.
Sorry if I shocked you with my sons links. I guess I'm just used to it. On the upside he makes a very good living as a tattoo artist which is more that can be said for most artists. Of course most artists works aren't worth anything until they are dead. His art literally dies.
Haha not shocked exactly no. ^^ I've seen plenty of gorey stuff.
Anyway it's exciting when you get it so I hope it happens for you soon.
