Today, Feb. 7th, 2009, I've finally discovered Florida as I've always imagined it to be but have never managed to find during our several trips down here. We are in a little seaside town called Cedar Key. [link]
came across it quite by accident when we decided to leave the main road and head for the coast. There was no indication, no signs or billboards, that there was anything at the end of the road other than a wildlife preserve. This town is the quintessiential Florida and we will be back.
We are off home tomorrow morning and should arrive in 3 days or so. Just in time for the official presentation of my Grey County Tourism winning photo at a wine and cheese party.
