Back at it....

The pleasure of holding my camera came back with a vengeance yesterday while hiking in our local park.  It was good to have that 'seeing everything framed in my minds eye' feeling once again.

I've been promised an 18-200mm lens for Christmas and I'm really looking forward to having it in my bag replacing two other lenses.  While trying it out at the camera store I was also getting a rush from playing with a number of the D series. They are no doubt bigger and heavier than my EOS 450 but they sure did feel good.

I got some help recalibrating my monitor from :iconfirey-sunset: so I'm hoping my colours come across better than they have in the past.

So here's to getting my mojo back. :w00t:

Here's a link [link] It has a larger glass surface at 72mm so I'm getting rid of the 18-55mm and the 55-200mm which only have a 58mm glass surface and I'll only have to cart around one lens.

It looks good Rebecca, you have got a nice wide angle lens so you probably wont miss much at that end.. Roll on Christmas..

I'm not climbing hills for 5 hours with that much gear. When I get the new lens I will just have it and my wide-angle and with that I can keep my camera bag at about 7-8 pounds. :) Sikku just got a new lens and it feels as heavy as my whole bag. :omg:

Its amazing what you can get used too, one around the neck and one in the big handbag, the wide strap goes over my head I struggle along for hours some days, though not climbing hills for five hours

I can't do long slogs with a camera around my neck. I take it out of my camera bag whenever I stop for a shot. I guess I could carry a point and shoot as well but I don't see much point.
