We have a saying around here, "all roads lead to Walter's Falls" It doesn't seem to matter which route we take, in or out of our little part of Ontario, there is always a signpost to Walter's Falls somewhere along the way..
Wow what a cool place to have so near to your home! I'd be going there year round and climb up and down all over the place haha....whoops. That was until I read your comment on how difficult it is to get to that spot! Nice job and well worth the effort the put in to it.
Its a pretty nice spot. A scene from a Jackie Chan film was actually filmed there a few years ago. Don't ask me which movie but it was some sort of fight at the foot of the falls although god knows how they got their cameras down there. It should be easier to get to in the spring before all the undergrowth takes over and you can actually see the slippery rocks. It would also be nice to go when it isn't raining.
This was really a difficult picture to get because the conditions were terrible. It was pouring rain and I had to climb down slippery rock cliffs and wade rivers etc. I actually fell in the river once but kept my camera up. I was using my husbands old tripod that weighs a ton and I was carrying my large golf umbrella. So after all that its nice that I got one decent shot out of the trip. Thanks for your positive comments and thanks for adding it to your 'scapes' collection.
