The sky light is a little harsh. Do you use a graduated neutral density filter? Looks like maybe you used a circular polarizer. It's a lovely shot. I know shooting into sunsets can be difficult. The composition is nice. The color is soothing. What lens did you use? L frames are great even with the xsi. You might want to play with stacking filters and remember it is easier to lighten a photo than to darken one. If you don't want to invest in a lot of filters there is a neutral density filter now that rotates for preferred darkness.
This shot is lovely! A good use of colors, the scenery is displayed wonderfully. The color of the clouds is the first thing that my eyes are drawn to. You've kept the picture in focus all the way to the horizon, which is fantastic. The lighting is also pleasant on the eyes, it contrasts with the color of the water beautifully. You've managed to leave room for the whole landscape, without making it seem crowded. The only thing negative I'd have to say is that the idea isn't very original. Other than that, kudos to you! You've done a great job. Thank you for sharing your art!
Really beautiful work! I love the colours and the textures, and how the pebbles in the foreground appear both above and below the water... and the way your eye is led to the horizon.
